The 10 Year Rule
Someone told me once that they had a 10 year rule about life...
In 10 years will it still matter?
Good way of looking at things I think. Neat rule to TRY to live by, but it isn't always easy to do. Sometimes life comes at you hard, and fast and furious. You want revenge, immediate satisfaction, the wrong to be righted NOW.
I admit, there are times that I do not consider this 10 year rule when I lose control of my life. I really should. It's really the right way to not have a stroke prolly.
Another way of looking at this is, it is a convenient way for someone without a concious to go thru life hurting people and keep moving ahead. Maybe this person and their 10 year rule is just stupid. I dunno.

I've never heard that rule before. I imagine it would certainly put many things into perspective in this instant gratification age we live in.
My sister has a rule to avoid being a pack rat. If she has something that she hasn't used in six months, she tosses it. I've got stuff I probably haven't used in six years around here...
i've decided that his rule means that he can go around hurting whoever he wants cuz in 10 years it wont matter to him, or them. Acting with impunity will eventually catch up to ya.. 10 years or sooner.. maybe later but it always catches up.
Fuck him and fuck 10 year rules.
